FETA Christmas Party 2018 (held in 2019) - A Big Success!

The FETA (Federation of EthnicGreek Trade Associations) 2018 Christmas Party + Vasilopita Cutting Ceremony was held, on Greek time, on January 30, 2019 at the spectacular Loi Estiatorio ( (http://www.loiestiatorio.com/132 West 58th Street, NYC), home of renown celebrity chef and all-around delightful person Maria Loi.

The soiree was organized by our very own Sistas of Celebration, E-Kat and LambrOuzo, who did another outstanding job. FETA Worldwide Senior Management would also like to thank our three party sponsors, without whose generosity the event would not have been possible:

Foley & Mansfield PLLP

London Fischer LLP

Margolis Edelstein

Here for your viewing pleasure, are some snapshots from last night (we just got them back from BroFotoMat Photis, paid extra for overnight processing):

Chef Loi displays some of her many cooking medals in front of a photograph of the Aegean that she took herself. Included in her array of awards are the "Just As Good as a Street Souvlaki" Medal from the Paris 2017 Cooking Show and the "Better-Than-Yia-Yia's Pastichio-And-I'll-Hit-You-With-A-Padofla-If-You-Disagree" Medallion from the Crete 2018 World Cooking Championships.

BroZach, looking slimmer and ready to get back into the insurance fray (Ironshore/Liberty Mutual here he comes!), didn't let frigid temperatures in Chicago and homeless people dying on the streets deter him from flying in first-class to eat, drink and pose next to two guys who make him look better, Bros Kryptonite and CootiesRidis

The SEC and Chef Loi talk about the pressures of being a high-profile Greek in America...

Where are BroKryptonite's hands and why is everyone smiling?

SistaLambrOuzo, and her soon-to-be-born-fourth child, hug their favorite Greek chef. Rumor is that offspring numbers five and six will be on their way soon!

Oh, look, another photo of the SEC and Chef Loi, how did that get in here?

A dishwasher from the Moondust Diner on the West Side who looks a lot like BroScaryFaces, clutches a coffee cup for warmth. He stopped by Loi Estiatorio to see if he could borrow some dish detergent. Ten degrees outside? Check. Wear a sleeveless vest? Check.

Some of the guests enjoying a sit down with an array of the delicious Greek dishes that were on the party's buffet table. This event was widely hailed as having the best food of any FETA party to date, even better than a White House dinner for the college football champs!

The two Much-Better-Halves of the only two married couples who are members of FETA. The husbands were sent home early to watch the kids, clean the house and have a cold beer waiting. Welcome to 2019, there's a new paradigm!

One of our newest FETAns, on the right (who hasn't been officially inducted yet, so his FETA nickname hasn't been revealed), cozies up to his sponsor, BroMichaelJordan (notice the same hairstyle as Michael Jordan). Get a room next time guys!

Loi Estiatorio prepared a scrumptious vasilopita which was enjoyed by all. BroCootiesRidis found the coin and was granted a full year of good luck at OTB.

Another of our newest FETAns, BroJimBrownopoulos, holds court at the bar while describing his firm's latest victory on a motion to compel in the Delaware Chancery Court (Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....) Later, he pulled out a copy of the written decision. He needs to work on his small talk skillz a bit.

SistaPope sees a lawyer approaching (BroPastichios) and quickly moves her hands to hide her wallet. Kudos to BroFotoMatPhotis (back right) for classing up the party by wearing one of his best insurance company fleeces.

BroPastichios demonstrates the Art of the Fake Smile while the two ladies plot to get away from him...

A photo of BroZach taking a photo. Very existential. SistaGeorgiaPeach takes the microphone and ponders whether to hit BroZach over the head with it for getting too close to her. #MeToo-Close

BroCootiesRidis licks his lips at the thought of another piece of vasilopita. His sweater-over-a-collared-shirt ensemble provided by St. Peter's High School Boys Dress Code Committee. Welcome to 1986 Fashion Week!

With all the tables splintered and all the plates shattered, FETAns, led by Chef Loi, were reduced to dancing on the floor.

A GREAT time was had by all, thanks again to our sponsors, organizers and venue. Best wishes to all for a great 2019!
